AIFA Paraplanning Academy
Paraplanning plays a key role in the modern financial planning practice - a paraplanner works closely with a Financial Adviser or Planner and is responsible for a number of non-client facing tasks involved in preparing and administering financial plans and client reports.
A paraplanner forms the link for an Adviser between conducting the client meetings and getting the business issued - they coordinate all the administration required, design an appropriate solution in conjunction with the Adviser, prepare all reports and post-sale documentation and provide technical advice when required.
In order to be successful as a paraplanner any individual needs to possess some basic skills such as the ability to write reports, analyse statistics, research appropriate products and funds, have a good understanding of compliance issues, organize their own and their advisers time and prioritise. They must also have excellent IT skills and interpersonal skills.
