- STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM - From 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010 the Commonwealth Government has funded 10,000 for workers retrenched from employment after 24 February 2009. - FURTHER FUNDING FOR RETRENCHED WORKERS - The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) announced on 1 July that the States had agreed to provide the guarantee of a funded training place for an Australian qualification for every retrenched worker over 25 years of age. No funding is currently available.
