VET in Schools Program Initiative (NSW)

The NSW Department of Education and Training has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring that students are prepared to face the challenges and opportunities of the new and emerging world of work through the delivery of the VET in Schools Program.

This program has driven significant change in schools, now delivered by a whole school, executive led approach that fosters staff confidence and empowers students to effectively manage their career and life planning.

The program, based on four key result areas lays the foundation for young people to be enterprising citizens engaged in life-long learning and making positive career transitions;

  • Planning Transition Pathways
  • Exploring Career Futures
  • Strengthening Student Outcomes through Vocational Learning
  • Building Networks and Connections
