Web Learning Technology - a big hit with students
05-07-2010
Following its launch in September 2009, AIFA's web learning technology - WebLT - has had critical success from its early users.
WebLT is a live and interactive web learning platform that creates a virtual class of on-line users. Managing Director, Lindsay Rowlands, said "Through WebLT we have been able to provide the value of the student and trainer interaction and discussion that is a key element of successful classroom based learning. By allowing the students and trainer to see each other through their web browser and to conduct a conversation with their peers or trainer as if face-to-face, students can become relaxed and comfortable with this unique learning format."
By the end of the March quarter 2010 AIFA expects more than half its student body will be engaged through WebLT. Mr Rowlands commented that " after an intensive learning and development experience for WebLT we are developing the student experience further to provide a one-stop portal for class libraries, virtual class log-in, assessment collection and delivery, and a class Blogs for student and trainer interaction."
The value we are able to build into the WebLT platform is quite extraordinary. We are now hearing business with a focus on their green credentials commenting on the benefit WebLT provides in reducing the carbon impact of face-to-face training. WebLT is a high value training platform that can be consumed seamlessly at the office or at home through your own web browser.
Through the March and June quarters this year, the full schedule of AIFA's qualification and professional development courses will be available through WebLT.
